Why can't soap manufacturers make soap that doesn't turn to stone on the walls of my shower and tub?
Isn't everyone tired of spending many hours scrubbing the stuff off and many dollars on products that say they take it off but don't.
I know I am and I'm ready to throw in the towel and ignore the ugly mess. Not even squeegeeing after each shower made a difference.
I'm convinced that the soap companies are laughing at us housewives all the way to the bank. After all, they do make both the soap and the scum "removers".
If anyone has found an effective, non-toxic answer to the scum problem, please answer.
I shouldn't have said stone. It's soap residue which adheres to my fibreglass tub and tiled walls.
You don't say whether your bathroom walls are tiled or not. If they are just rinse them with the shower spray and give them a wipe over and they'll be fine. But I suspect they're not. If they're painted or brick then you've got a problem. They make a special emulsion paint specially for bathrooms and kitchens that doesn't get steam marked and soap or toothpaste marks can just be wiped off. Hope this helps.
