How to prepare some wood for a sculpture?
Wood breaks, change color, became dry or is wet and I like to try, so please be serious with your answer or tell me where to look for good one. I am to old to go to school and I'll be gratefull for every advice.
It depends on what you want to make. You could start out with wood that has already dried out or bin kiln dried. You can shop at a lumber yard or a place that specializes in the more exotic woods.
I don't know about too old to take classes. I have taken non-credit art classes and sat next to some people in their 60's or early 70's. Some artists joke about art being like sipping from the fountain of youth.
