Which car would be a better option mechanical wise?
A 2004 Crown Victoria with 98,000 miles
or
A 2000 Crown Victoria with 70,000 miles
They are both retired police cars that look almost mint.
Which is more likely to last longer....just because the one with 90,000 is a 2004 would that make it last longer then the 2000 Crown Vic or not? I'm trying to get the one that will last longer and they are both around the same price.
Thanks.
Doesn't matter even in the slightest.
Those are just numbers. They don't tell you how it was driven. They don't tell you how it was maintained.
100% totally pointless to try to compare them.
You could say, who's in better shape, someone at 50 years old, or someone at 60?
Totally 100% depends on how they've taken care of themselves. The 60 year old might live to 90. The 50 year old might die in a year. Number means nothing.
Either of those cars, if well maintained previously, and well maintained by YOU, will last a long time.
Other than that, there's zero basis to judge how long either will last.
