Hard, painless, somewhat mobile lump in groin?
A few weeks ago, I popped what I thought was an average-sized under-the-surface pimple on my thigh, near the intersection of my thigh and pubic region. It has since become a large, hard, lump, about 1 cm in diameter. It is mobile in the sense that I can pull it away from the flesh underneath and mostly wrap my fingers around it through the skin (sorry this is a bit detailed, I just want to be thorough). It is painless, but I cannot tell if it is irregularly shaped or not. I am tempted to say this is not cancer, simply because it appeared so recently, right where I had a pimple, but I would love to hear from someone who knows more than I do. Thanks!
I don't think what you have is cancer. You know how popping some pimples get infected and become larger? I think that is what happened to you. The area that you popped became infected and is now a lump. It is common considering that area isn't the cleanest on the body due to sweat glands and skin build up.
If it becomes an inch, or you see more of these lumps in the same area or elsewhere on your body, see a doctor.
