I have a Kerosene wick lamp that blows out for no reason.?
I would light it up and adjust the flame hight to the correct hight. Everything would be working just fine. Then all of a sudden a couple of minutes later the flame totally blows out. Only nobody was there to blow it out and there was no wind. It's one of those metal and glass hurricane lamps. Conventional wick lamp. What is causing this?
Did you let the wick sit in the lamp long enough for it to be wet and is end clean? If so is the fuel itself good and not contaminated? If lamp has not been used for awhile and dry you cannot just light it and expect it to work properly. Wick needs to wick up clean fuel and make sure no bugs or ants have built little nests in air vents
